Durley Chine Beach is located just a 10 minute walk west along the promenade from the hustle and bustle of Bournemouth Beach. The Blue Flag Award beach has wide golden sands and the water is safe and shallow making it a popular destination for locals or families with younger children.

There is an RNLI lifeguard station. Other facilities include a new cafe/restaurant (Chineside), a Harvester pub, a beachfront take away cafe / ice cream kiosk, a beach shop, beach office and toilets. Access is via a sloping car park just off West Overcliff Drive or from walking along the promenade. Car park details and charges are given further down the page.
Dog Owners: The Dog Friendly Beach section lies between Durley Chine and Middle Chine. Dogs are not permitted on other parts of the beach between 01 May and 30 September. Dogs must be kept on a lead on the promenades and cliff paths. Bournemouth Tourism have produced a Dogs on the Beach leaflet and map (external link).

The entrance to Durley Chine Car Park is on the corner of West Overcliff Drive and West Cliff Road. 131 spaces (7 disabled spaces). Payment can be made by phone or by using an online app (JustPark, RingGo or PayByPhone). You can’t pay by cash or card using the machines. The car park is open 24hrs and charges apply for all 24 hrs 7 days a week.
